Gas Appliance Inspection in Toronto and the GTA

Whether you are buying a home, following up on a safety notice, or checking an older gas appliance, a licensed inspection helps identify visible installation and operating concerns before they become larger problems.

When Homeowners Book an Inspection

Inspections are useful before closing on a house, after a contractor left unfinished gas work, when an appliance behaves oddly without a clear repair diagnosis yet, or when a Safety Violation Notice needs a structured response.

  • Stoves, ranges and cooktops
  • Gas dryers
  • Fireplaces and outdoor fire features
  • Furnaces and related gas heating equipment
  • Pool heaters and garage heaters
  • Connectors, shutoffs and accessible piping

What the Visit Typically Includes

Pavel reviews accessible installation details, connector and shutoff condition, and operating behaviour where safe to test. Findings are explained in plain language so you can decide whether repair, correction or further specialty work is next.

Inspection Versus Repair

Inspection documents and explains condition. Repair or piping correction is a separate approved scope once you know what failed. Red-tag correction work has its own process page when Enbridge issued a notice.

Photos to Send

  • Each appliance you want checked
  • Any notice left by Enbridge or a home inspector
  • Mechanical room overview
  • Known problem areas pointed out in writing

Limits

Hidden piping inside walls, inaccessible connectors and sealed components may limit what can be verified without opening finishes. An inspection is not a guarantee that no future part will fail—it is a current-condition review of what can be assessed on site.

Gas Appliance Inspection Questions

Can you inspect multiple gas appliances in one visit?

Often yes. List every appliance and any notices so the visit time can be planned.

Is this the same as a home inspection?

No. This is licensed gas-appliance and related connection review, not a full building inspection.

What if the inspection finds a Safety Violation issue?

Pavel explains the finding and next correction steps. Active gas emergencies still go through Enbridge first.

Do you inspect for real estate deals?

Many pre-purchase or post-offer checks are booked this way. Share the closing timeline when you call.

Will you quote repairs during the same appointment?

When the fault is clear and parts access allows, repair options can be discussed after the inspection findings.
